The tranquillity of the forest periphery remains unspoilt by any through road. And that’s also good news for the children playing in our playground. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Appenzell, directly on the hiking trail to the Kronberg. The valley station of the Appenzell-Sollegg ski lift is situated adjacent to our hotel. In favourable snow conditions, a few deft hip-swings and push-offs from your ski poles will take you right to the lift.
